Carlie's Bumbo!

I finally broke down and bought Carlie a Bumbo. These became VERY popular when Sadie was born but I never found the need for one....maybe because I chose to hold her at all times. Carlie however, does not have the luxury of mom holding her all the time since Sadie requires too much attention. I get sad to see her laying on her play mat all day long...so this way, she can be upright and part of the action! She seems to really like this new perspective on life. Her neck muscles only allow her a few minutes at a time, but I'm glad I got it and I can now see what all the fuss was about!

2 Year Stats!

Sadie had her 2 Year well check on November 9th. She is a very healthy and happy kid. Her vocabulary is above average and her height continues to be above average. The doctor said if she had to guess....Sadie will be about 5' 9 " or 5' 10"! Wow! I'm not sure where those genes come from.

Height - 35.25 in (85%tile)
BMI- 16.09 (40%tile)

Sadie's Second Birthday!

Sadie turned 2 on November 6th. We had a Princess Party because she has been really into Princess movies lately. It was fun to get the house all decorated and we were sure to have a TON of balloons since those are her favorite things! Lets be honest...who needs presents when you have balloons?

Grandma B., Aunt Tami, Whitney, Aunt Rachelle, Uncle John, Jessica and Michael all came over for the celebration. Sadie opened her presents and then dived into her cake. She got a doll house and Snow White movie from mom and dad and Grandma furnished the doll house, Aunt Tami gave her an Aqua Doodle mat, and Aunt Rachelle gave her a really cute outfit.

It was a fun night but I must admit...it is true what they say about the terrible twos.....they kicked in that night and haven't left!

Halloween!

Halloween was quite eventful this year. Last year was MUCH simpler with one who couldn't really do much but sit in her stroller and enjoy the attention. This year...with a two year old, it was a whole different story, but we survived. Sadie was a very cute Minnie Mouse and Carlie was a very cute...plump....strawberry. After getting all dressed up we headed over to the church for the trunk or treat event. I don't think Sadie really got the concept down...I got her to say "trick or treat" once and "thank you" maybe 3 times, we'll keep working on it. She was mostly fascinated that her mom was letting her eat two suckers at once. Anything to keep the peace!
